With Hot Flashes, the changing body chemistry, anxiety, moodiness,
irritability and managing your daily life and that of loved ones
along with meeting the demands of work who wouldn’t feel fatigued.
Its easy for the Menopausal woman to reach this state and while
often overlooked or ignored or even just put up with, it can be
one of the most debilitating side effects of perimenopause, the
state before a woman attains menopause and in which most classic
symptoms are prevalent.
Fatigue is that general sense of tiredness, lack of energy or even
hopelessness that a situation will improve. Fatigue can be caused
by a number of situations ranging from work and family, to sleep
and substance intake. Fatigue can be very trying to the menopausal
woman as the body begins to cope with a new chemistry balance, thus
depriving certain areas of what was once in abundance and causing
the body to have to work harder for what it once took as a normal
state.
Fatigue, often an indicator of a larger problem can be caused by
other factors than Menopause and it pays to be aware of them and
eliminate their candidacy before treating the fatigue. Some other
factors include Anemia, Coronary artery disease, diabetes, heart
failure and impending heat failure, hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism,
kidney and liver disease. When fatigue persists for more than two
weeks and may be accompanied by other serious symptoms such as difficulty
breathing, abnormal bleeding and a change in weight it is probably
time to see your Health Care Provider and have a full examination
so that the cause can be determined.
First off don’t be surprised if you experience a number of
symptoms during Menopause and furthermore don’t be surprised
if one of them happens to be Fatigue. It’s almost a guarantee
in the early stages and its very understandable. Menopause, or more
specifically Perimenopause can be a very stressful time for a woman
and its effects can be weakening to the point of debilitation.

important factor to identify in managing Menopause related Fatigue
is to make sure that you are doing everything you can to eliminate
the source of the fatigue. As your body changes you will need every
bit of relief you can gain to make the smoothest possible transition
towards a post menopausal state. Fatigue can hamper the will and
the efforts to ensure that body chemistry and hormone levels and
needs are being met. Fatigue can cause the menopausal woman to not
take the steps she needs to reduce the suffering cause by other
symptoms such as Hot Flashes or Depression. It can prevent her from
exercising and engaging in social groups that can provide not only
relief but the tools to manage Menopause. In short, Fatigue can
be the multiplier that makes other problems worse.
A number of strategies can be employed for dealing with Menopause
and they can range from the effective benefits of hormone Replacement
therapies to the much talked about Herbal effectiveness of Ginseng.
Ginseng is an ancient Chinese herbal supplement that has been proven
to reduce stress and fatigue. Exercise is a great way to increase
your energy level and immediately find new sources of energy. As
little as walking for twenty minutes a day can improve your mental
outlook, a factor that may be causing your fatigue, and increase
your personal energy reserve, a factor to reducing to the effects
of fatigue.
Another helpful solution might be found in a reassessment of your
daily activities. Look at your schedule. Are you doing too much?
Too little? Can you manage your time more effectively? What are
some things you can live without? What are some activities you’ve
been dying to do and which may improve your energy levels and mental
outlook? Answer these questions and you may find the answer to your
dwindling energy reserves and increasing fatigue levels.
The main thing is to remember that fatigue is often symptomatic
of an area of your life that is poorly managed. Take a look and
be honest about that and then deal with it, and don’t forget
to rest and get just the right amount of it. Slowing down and approaching
life at a more manageable pace may be the simple solution to fatigue.

that for a reason, it might be time to eliminate the caffeine, alcohol,
chocolate and nicotine you’ve been meaning too.. So find a
nutritional balance involving good foods and expect a good result.
Whether you choose to admit it or not, there are people who want
to help and understand you. This is important as so often the menopausal
woman can feel that she is going it alone. Well your not. Find help
in your spouse, children, co-workers, Church, social group, support
group, healthcare providers and even online. Find help and community
by reaching out and asking others to be strong where you are weak.
The truth is that you are loved and cared for and that someone understands
or has a concern for what you are going through. So give them the
opportunity to assist you, whether it be unloading the groceries
or unloading your worries, find the ‘someone’ who can
be there for you and then lean on them. They’ll feel good
and so will you.
We have all been fighting fatigue since the day we were born and
it’s no wonder that as we age we begin to find its effects
more demanding. But that is life and in a way, if you understand
it, it’s perfect. It is time for you to slow down and learn
all those things you had wanted to, but never had the time to learn.
Sometimes fatigue can be a great excuse for finishing that book
you’ve been wanting to finish, or spending quality time with
that someone who you haven’t had the time for. Whatever it
is, fatigue is an answerable problem with solutions which can be
wonderfully beneficial to the overall quality of your life if you
stop and take the time to find them.
